Understanding Sinus Lift
The back of the upper jaw is the most common place to lack bone for implants: the maxillary sinus — an air-filled cavity above the molars — naturally expands as bone resorbs after tooth loss. A sinus lift (sinus floor elevation) raises the thin membrane lining the sinus and places graft material into the space created, growing new bone height where the implant needs it.
Dr. Qusai performs all three established techniques — the lateral window, the osteotome (internal) lift, and the minimally invasive balloon lift — selecting between them on the basis of CBCT measurements rather than habit. Piezo surgery makes membrane perforation, the classic risk of this procedure, exceedingly rare.
